Howard Edelman has been a full-time labor and employment arbitrator since 1982.  He has presided over 6,000 hearings during that time.  Howard serves as a permanent arbitrator in over 100 collective bargaining agreements, including Consolidated Edison and Utility workers, New York City Department of Education and District Council 37, Nassau County and Civil Service Employees Association, National Grid, and Transport Workers Union, and Baumann Bus Company and Teamsters.  Howard holds a J.D. degree from New York Law School (Valedictorian), a Master’s degree (English) from the University of Wisconsin and a Bachelor of Arts degree (English) from Brooklyn College.  Howard is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the National Academy of Arbitrators.  He resides in Rockville Centre, New York with his wife, Leslie, a former Assistant Superintendent for Instruction in a suburban school district.
