Conference Description

Faculty

All of the faculty members enjoy teaching and helping advocates who handle grievances and prepare/present cases. In alphabetical order, Mike Falvo is a highly regarded labor arbitrator. Earlier in his career he was labor counsel for the City of Detroit and a teacher at Wayne State University. Joan Parker is a distinguished labor arbitrator and umpire under several national agreements. She frequently teaches at Rutgers University. David Vaughn is a prominent labor arbitrator. A graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, he is on several panels in the public and private sector. He has also taught at Georgetown University’s law school. And Jeanne Vonhof, a graduate of the University of Illinois law school has over 25 years of experience as a labor arbitrator that includes long-running umpireships in steel, airlines, and education. She has taught at Indiana University.

The conference will be held at the Westin Hotel in Southfield, MI. Located in the Southfield Town Center complex, The Westin Southfield Detroit is only 20 minutes from downtown and local attractions including The Henry Ford Museum, Joe Louis Arena, and Comerica Park.
