Conference Description

The place to learn is where the teachers are among the top tier of labor arbitrators, the materials are complete, your questions are answered, and the instruction is practical so you can put the training to immediate use.

At this conference, you will learn more about the legal and arbitral principles, refine your advocacy skills and be prompted to think about strategy in your own work.

Please note that this program is at the Westin Hotel at DTW (Detroit Metropolitan Airport). This program was designed for the traveler (and non-traveler) who has a day to study and dive into the material. If you fly in, the meeting room is just 5-10 minutes (walking) from the gate. If you’re driving in, there are special instructions about parking and using the hotel valet (see facility description below).

The conference tuition includes admission to all sessions, the workbook, a continental breakfast, a deli box lunch and parking (for local attendees who use the hotel valet).

Facility Description

The conference will be held in the ballroom at the Westin Hotel at DTW Airport. This hotel is conveniently located in the McNamara Terminal, with its own TSA security bypass (next to hotel lobby) for people flying-in and out. With so many flights every day, it is a perfect location for arriving the night before and getting back on a plane within minutes of the program’s conclusion.

The hotel is also accessible from the public parking at DTW, so you can drive up to the hotel’s front door (and avoid TSA security). However, the hotel strongly recommends that you hotel valet your car. If you valet your car with the hotel, you will receive a voucher for all-day parking. It will be complimentary as an incentive to valet your car.

Once at the Westin, you will not have to leave during the conference. There will be a continental breakfast and lunch (deli box), plus options inside the hotel. It is an exceptionally quiet airport hotel, with a spectacular atrium / bar for resting or meeting, including dinner the night before if you stay overnight.
